Know the Signs of Stroke
In the U.S. someone dies of a stroke every three minutes

Stroke is the nation's third leading cause of death, and each year, about 700,000 people experience a new or recurrent stroke.

On average, someone in the U.S. suffers a stroke every 45 seconds, and someone dies of a stroke every three minutes.

Stroke is a leading cause of serious, long-term disability in the United States, with about 4.7 million stroke survivors alive today.


Garden of Healing® shares these signs and symptoms of a stroke:

1. Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg - especially on one side of the body.

2. Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding.

3. Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes.

4. Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination.

5. Sudden severe headache with no known cause.


Stroke requires emergency treatment and every minute counts. Do not ignore the warning signs of a stroke.
